We are seeking DevOps Engineers with deep core cloud expertise to join a critical government programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work on highly impactful projects while enjoying a flexible, collaborative environment.
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising cloud-based infrastructure and automation solutions. You will work within an Agile team, focusing on scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures that support modern digital services.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery
* Automate system deployments, configuration, and monitoring for reliability and performance
* Manage and optimise containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
* Collaborate with developers, security engineers, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions
* For Senior Engineers: Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to solution design decisions.
Skills & Experience Required
* Active SC clearance (applications without clearance cannot be considered)
* Proven experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS)
* Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Scripting ability with Python or Bash
* Version control experience (Git)
