Position: Installation Engineer
Reporting to: Installations Field Manager
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Saturday, 45 hours a week, 7.30am-5.30pm
1 Saturday per month paid as overtime

Salary:
We offer a competitive starting salary ranging from £30,100 to £34,000. Additionally, you can earn a target bonus of 20% of your salary, along with extra pay for one additional Saturday per month. With these incentives, your on-target earnings can reach up to £39,000 per year!

Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Field Manager, the Installation Engineer will install fibre connections at customer premises. The role emphasizes first-time right installations and delivering outstanding customer service, with timely updates to relevant systems throughout the day. The engineer may also be required to perform other departmental tasks based on work volumes from ISP partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Primarily work on customer installations.
* Install fibre into customer premises, maintaining high customer service standards.
* Manage tools and company vehicle as per policy.
* Complete assigned tasks on time and manage daily jobs efficiently.
* Ensure health and safety compliance.
* Work independently and as part of a team to meet targets and KPIs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably working on or with the Openreach Network.
* Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard identification, with a focus on health and safety.
* Proven experience in a networking engineering environment is preferred.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
* Ability to build good working relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
* Proactive approach to improving work efficiency.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence for at least 12 months.
* Desirable certifications: SA001, SA002, S7, S8 or equivalent.
* Desirable: IPAF 1b, NRSWA unit 2, SMART awards.
* Telecommunications experience or transferable skills.
