With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation, the business has recently expanded into a new 45,000 sq ft facility in Basingstoke, enhancing its distribution and operational capabilities in the South of England. The Role We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of our brand-new Basingstoke facility. This role involves overseeing the safe and efficient handling of a wide range of metal product lines, including the use of overhead cranes and cutting equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering, manufacturing, or metal distribution who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of a key site operation. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage warehouse operations across a 45,000 sq ft facility, including goods-in, order processing, dispatch, and stock control. * Supervise a small team, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity. * Oversee the safe operation of overhead cranes, metal cutting machinery, and handling equipment. * Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure effective storage and movement of goods. * Work closely with internal teams to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations. * Promote and enforce health & safety compliance, conducting routine checks and ensuring safe practices. * Support team training and development while fostering a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For * Experience in a warehouse, engineering, or manufacturing environment, preferably involving heavy or metal-based products. * Strong understanding of warehouse safety, especially in relation to crane and machinery operation. * Supervisory or team-leading experience in an industrial or technical setting. * Attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning and problem-solving. * Good communication and organisational skills, with basic IT proficiency. * A valid FLT licence or overhead crane operation experience is desirable (training can be provided).
