Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated professional for a key role in a supportive academy in the Wakefield area. We are looking for someone to start immediately.About the role:
Working closely with the Finance Manager/Deputy Business Manager, you will be crucial in ensuring the academy's financial processes run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing essential administrative and financial support to all staff and students within the academy.
2. Supervising the Admin and Finance Assistant, offering guidance and ensuring financial and administrative requirements are fulfilled.
3. Managing a high-quality payroll provision for all school staff.
4. Ensuring that all financial processes are carried out in strict accordance with the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust Financial Handbook.
5. Overseeing the efficient and effective use of financial resources within your area of responsibility.
Working hours:
We offer flexible working hours to promote a healthy work-life balance:
6. Option 1: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (Friday).
7. Option 2: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (Friday).
What you'll need:
8. Proven experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar financial role, ideally within a school or academy setting.
9. A strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and regulations.
10. Excellent administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
11. Experience with school payroll is highly desirable.
12. The ability to supervise and guide junior staff effectively.
