CER Education Liverpool is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years teaching assistant to work full time in a Primary School in Liverpool.
This role is to start in September 2025 and will continue until July 2026. The hours of work will be 8.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
The role involves supporting the whole class and small group interventions, with occasional 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH needs.
You will be working as part of an experienced Early Years team and will be supported by the class teacher daily.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the needs of children, including those with SEND and SEMH needs
2. Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
3. Setting up resources
4. Classroom resource management and preparation
Preferred Skills:
1. Qualified as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 and/or 3
2. Previous experience working with children as a teaching assistant
3. Resilience and a strong work ethic
4. Experience working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
5. Ability to assist students during lessons and keep them on task
6. Understanding of safeguarding procedures
