We are working with a well-established Engineering and hire business seeking an IT Support Technician to strengthen their in-house IT team. The IT Support Technician will provide first and second line support, helping staff with everything from day-to-day IT queries to the deployment of new systems. The role covers troubleshooting hardware and software, managing mobile devices, maintaining network connections, and supporting business-critical applications. Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Provide helpdesk support across software, hardware, mobile devices, and cybersecurity * Troubleshoot local and wide area networks, Wi-Fi access, and branch connections, escalating when needed * Set up, install, and configure IT equipment including laptops, desktops, phones, and tablets * Deploy and maintain Microsoft 365 applications and Windows-based systems * Ensure accurate records of IT assets, stock levels, and user assignments are kept up to date * Support and document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides * Assist with IT projects and new system rollouts * Provide user training and ensure all work aligns with H&S and cybersecurity best practice Skills & Experience Required: * Proven experience in IT support, ideally in a fast-paced business environment * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 * Understanding of networks, Wi-Fi, and general cybersecurity practices * Confident problem-solver with excellent attention to detail * Able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues * A Level (or equivalent) in ICT – a degree in IT is desirable but not essential * ITIL foundation qualification (or working knowledge) * Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel to branch sites Summary: Position: IT Support Technician Location: Chandlers Ford Type: Permanent, full-time Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Including Bonus Benefits Start: Notice dependent If you’re an IT Support/ Helpdesk Technician looking for a varied role where you’ll work across systems, networks, and projects, this is a great chance to join a supportive in-house team and make a real impact.
