Spire Healthcare at Tollerton, Nottingham is looking for a Radiology Assistant to join our bank team. The role supports the multi‑disciplinary imaging team, ensuring exemplary patient care and adhering to set protocols within the diagnostic imaging department.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the multidisciplinary team to provide exemplary patient care and examination.
* Undertake routine tasks related to patient health and wellbeing.
* Assess the needs of patients with stable or consistent conditions.
* Maintain communication with patients regarding routine care matters.
* Develop personal and team development plans.
* Monitor and maintain health, safety, and security for yourself and others.
* Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of services.
* Help maintain quality standards.
* Promote equality, diversity, and patient rights.
* Collect, collate and report routine data and information.
* Assist in the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
* Recognise risk of HCAI and support prevention and control measures as per line manager guidance.
* Maintain agreed stock levels of consumable items.
* Prepare and assist with general and specialised procedures, including biopsies.
* Ensure a clean, hygienic working environment.
* Prepare patients for treatment and assist with manual handling.
* Recognise equipment faults and report immediately.
* Perform basic maintenance of equipment.
* Develop additional skills complementing the role.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a customer‑facing role providing high standards of customer care.
* Ability to work in teams and use own initiative.
* Experience working with supervision.
* Administrative experience involving checking and monitoring.
* Experience preparing environment and resources for clinical activities.
* Experience supporting staff in an imaging or independent healthcare environment.
* Understanding of standards of patient needs and care.
* Awareness of Health and Safety and hygiene requirements.
* English language proficiency – IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.
* Formal training at least at NVQ level (or equivalent).
* Mandatory training in infection control, health and safety competencies.
* Competence with equipment and medical devices.
* Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
