Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Underley Gardens School, Kirkby Lonsdale LA6 2DZ
Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours. Part-time hours may be considered. Contract: Permanent (term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances).

About the role: You will join our in-house clinical team and, working with the education team, deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils in education settings. You will hold an OT caseload with the support of a clinical supervisor and site lead, contribute to staff training and consultation, and support the growth of apprentices, students and therapy assistants.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils, including those with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs.
* Work within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, aligning practice with governing and professional bodies.
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload with supervision and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Collaborate with education teams to support pupil independence and well-being.
* Contribute to developing enhanced OT services across sites and to CPD activities.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience in a similar setting (preferable)
* Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or facing learning, socio-emotional, or mental health needs
* Sound knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (training preferred but not essential)
