The role
Join an innovative team working to provide administrative support to programmes and enhance academic administration in the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology.
The Faculty is home to seven Schools providing specialist and interdisciplinary teaching, research and knowledge transfer across a breadth of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes spanning a wide range of disciplines including but not limited to: architecture, built environment, engineering and computing.
This role has an expected start date of September 2026.
You will:
* Provide an effective enquiry response, managing all relevant telephone, email, face-to face and postal enquiries relating to the programmes from students, staff, stakeholders and visitors
* Provide general administrative support to the Faculty’s taught programme administration team, including assisting with student recruitment, interviews and induction, programme documentation and production of transcripts
* Utilise University systems to maintain programme, student and enquirer information
* Provide administrative support and contribute to formal programme committees/ meetings, subject examination committees, annual reviews and other associated meetings for the relevant programmes
* Support and organise events and field trips including obtaining costings, booking travel and accommodation, booking catering
* Support school and faculty level events where necessary
* Assist the Administration manager and other team members with ad hoc projects in the taught programme administration area
You should have:
* Minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English
* Previous administrative experience
* Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
* Demonstrable IT skills with the ability to use software packages appropriate to an office environment
