Base pay range
Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Activity Group Coordinator to join our team. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary of £14,413.80 per annum (£24,023 FTE).
The post is home based with regular travel to various locations across Leicestershire and Smisby (Derbyshire).
About the Activity Group Coordinator role:
To coordinate and facilitate the operation of weekly activity and support groups for people living with dementia and/or their carers. The role involves designing, preparing, and delivering stimulating activities such as chair-based exercise, cognitive stimulation, and craft work. You will support the Service Manager with volunteer recruitment, training, and compliance (including DBS checks), to enhance service provision.
Responsibilities include:
1. Day-to-day coordination of group activities, including planning, delivery, refreshments, and communication.
2. Volunteer coordination, recruitment, training, and support.
3. Delivering high-quality activities aligned with best practices and attendee feedback.
4. Administrative duties, including data entry and evaluation.
5. Participating in local fundraising activities.
6. Ensuring compliance with statutory standards and policies.
7. Performing other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (7 hours per day)

Candidate requirements:
* Knowledge of dementia and experience working with affected individuals and their carers
* Understanding of group activities’ benefits
* Safeguarding knowledge
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
* Experience with IT systems and group activity delivery
