Job Title: Fitter / Assembler

Salary: £27,040 – £31,200 per annum, DOE
Hours: AM shift - 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fitter / Assembler to join a busy fabrication workshop in Aylesbury. You will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly of components, ensuring high-quality standards, and supporting wider production activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical fitting and mechanical assembly of metal and machined parts
2. Accurately read and interpret third-angle projection engineering drawings and SOPs
3. Assemble post-weld subassemblies using hand tools, torque tools, and fixtures
4. Perform pressure and leak testing, recording results as required
5. Prepare completed units for dispatch or installation
6. Operate general production equipment and handheld tools
7. Identify and report defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards
8. Assist in other production areas when required
9. Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S and health & safety practices
10. Complete relevant administrative tasks

13. Comfortable using measuring tools such as micrometres
14. Must have hands-on experience interpreting and working from third-angle projection drawings
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
15. City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
16. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
17. Experience working with bespoke heat exchangers
18. Proven experience working with third-angle projection drawings
Desirable Experience:
19. Flame cutting, CNC cutting, milling, turning
20. Fabrication workshop background
21. Quality inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT)
Training & Development:
Training needs will be reviewed and supported by the Production Supervisor
