An established international bank is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join its Credit Department. This is a Second Line of Defence Credit Risk role, supporting the bank’s credit risk oversight across its Large Corporate portfolio (IG, Blue-Chip and FTSE 100/250).

Senior Credit Risk Analyst – Large Corporate (2nd Line of Defence)
This role involves evaluatingplex sector agnostic credit proposals related to large corporates. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis, building and stress-testing cash flow models, assessing capital structures, and identifying key transaction risks and mitigants. You will work closely with origination teams, risk management, and external stakeholders to ensure credit decisions align with internal risk appetite and regulatory standards. A strong understanding of debt markets, private equity dynamics, and sector-specific trends is essential, along with the ability tomunicate credit views clearly and concisely to seniormittees.
1. Prepare independent credit risk assessments and rmendations for new and existing business proposals.
2. Review internal risk ratings and classifications submitted by the First Line of Defence.
3. Conduct post-lending monitoring, including entity-specific, industry, and macroeconomic indicators.
4. Contribute to the development and review of internal risk appetite and tolerance frameworks.
5. Ensure alignment of business origination with credit risk acceptance criteria across geographies, client segments, and products.
6. Support portfolio management activities including policy updates, ECL modelling, and stress testing.
7. Lead or contribute to risk assessments, counterparty risk analysis, and data/model management initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Strong experience in credit risk analysis within banking or financial services.
9. Proficiency in financial modelling and credit risk systems.
10. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.
11. Excellentmunication skills, with the ability to presentplex credit issues clearly.
12. Fluency in English required.
