Are you a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity within a nurturing and forward-thinking primary school? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded co-educational primary school in Harpenden, part of a respected multi-academy trust, for a Year 2 Teacher to join the team on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting April 2026.

The Role - Year 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) - HarpendenWe are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Year 2 teacher who can deliver high-quality teaching and support the school's ethos and values. This is a full-time, maternity cover position, starting in April 2026.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum
* Support the social and emotional development of pupils
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
* Promote wellbeing and mindfulness across the classroom
* Collaborate with staff to ensure a consistent and inclusive learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold QTS (or equivalent)
* Have proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Be committed to holistic child development and wellbeing
* Be confident delivering creative, hands-on learning experiences
* Be enthusiastic, adaptable and a strong team player
* Able to commute to Harpenden
