About the Service and Role Our Occupational Therapy service works across an all-age social care pathway, supporting adults and children through assessment and intervention, including the provision of equipment and adaptations, to promote independence, safety, and wellbeing.

The team works closely with social workers across Adult and Children's Services, alongside colleagues in health, housing, and partner organisations, to deliver person-centred, proportionate, and outcomes-focused support.

This role offers the opportunity to play a leading part in shaping high quality Occupational Therapy practice, while also continuing to work clinically.

As Deputy Clinical Lead, you will report to the Clinical Lead and work closely with them to lead and manage the Occupational Therapy service.

You will provide professional supervision, clinical guidance, and day to day support to colleagues.

You will also deputise for the Clinical Lead as required, helping to ensure safe, consistent, and effective practice across the service.

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a clinical caseload, bringing senior Occupational Therapy expertise to more complex situations and supporting sound, proportionate, strengths-based decision-making with adults and children across the service.

This will include assessment and intervention across a range of Occupational Therapy activity, including work relating to equipment and adaptatons, delivered in collaboration with social workers and partner services to achieve meaningful outcomes.

The post is based at Bridge Street Trading Estate, Bury, with flexibility to work across the borough in line with service needs.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week, and the role requires the ability to travel as part of your day-to-day work ,with flexible working arrangments available in line with council policy.

What We're Looking For We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong clinical judgement and a commitment to high-quality, proportionate practice within a social care setting.

You will be confident working within an all-age Occupational Therapy service, including assessment with adults and children, and comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with ongoing clinical work.

You will bring experience of suppoting and developing colleagues, working collaboratively, and contributing to service development and improvement.

You will also be committed to reflective practice and reflective supervision, and to working in ways that are fair, strengths-based, person-centred, and outcomes-focused.
