About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is 40 hours per week, worked across flexible shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading your room, supporting your team, and ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding in line with the EYFS statutory framework and Ofsted expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operation of the room, ensuring consistent high-quality practice Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS Support children’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development Lead by example, promoting professionalism, fairness, and consistency Embed a strong key person approach to support secure attachments Support staff development and identify training needs within the room Maintain high-quality learning journals using EyLog Ensure accurate record-keeping using EyMan and nursery systems Maintain the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of children, staff, parents, and visitors Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements Why Join Us? Essential Requirements Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification Minimum 1 year’s experience working in an Early Years setting Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements Fluent written and spoken English Desirable At least 6 months’ experience in a senior or room leadership role Understanding of Ofsted expectations to achieve Good or Outstanding outcomes Safeguarding Commitment We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
