Randstad is looking for a compassionate SEND teaching assistant willing to extend their support to a SEN specialist school based in Huddersfield. This is a full - time position (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM; Monday to Friday). You will be supporting children and young pupil with complex learning and behavioural needs.
In this school, their children, young people and school community are always on top priority and are at the core of everything they do. Also, they embrace the view that all people are different and require access to an educational process that reflects these differences.
In this role, your expertise in learning support, communication, and creativity will be instrumental in assisting children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities. You'll use a diverse approach to help them comprehend information and provide ongoing support throughout their education.

Requirements:

9. The ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
10. Provide feedback to pupils in a constructive way that reinforces learning.
11. Willingness and ability to adapt in response to changing circumstances.
12. Eligibility to work in UK (No sponsorship provided)
Roles & Responsibilities:
13. Supervise pupils with SEND and ALN, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
14. Assist with pupil supervision, including before and after school and in break times.
15. Prepare, maintain and use learning resources and assist pupils to use them.
16. Promote good behaviour and encourage pupils to take accountability for their actions.
17. Provide opportunities for developing independence.
18. Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding.
