Exciting brand new opportunity at Volkswagen Carlisle for an experienced Workshop Controller or an experienced Technician ready to step up. Join our dynamic team in a state-of-the-art facility. This role is ideal for a talented and enthusiastic Workshop Controller seeking to advance their career in a premium brand environment.
As a Workshop Controller, you will supervise and motivate our team of Technicians & Apprentices, proactively review and prioritize the daily workload. You will be a crucial part of our Aftersales Department, reporting to the Aftersales Manager who will support you with ongoing training and development opportunities within the Jaguar Land Rover premium brand.
Your responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring technicians meet their targets, maintaining high customer satisfaction through quality checks, and supporting the Service Manager in achieving department profits and retention levels. You will also maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers, support technicians during repairs, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and legislation.
* Ensure all service work is performed correctly, efficiently, and with customer satisfaction in mind.
* Maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers and support technicians during repairs.
* Ensure compliance with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policies.
* Coordinate work schedules to meet customer needs and workshop targets.
* Assist with technical challenges and prepare technical reports.
The ideal candidate will have motor industry experience managing a team within a busy Service/Workshop environment, a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), and a solid understanding of COSHH legislation, trade practices, and consumer legislation. Awareness of quality control and inspection standards is essential.
We seek someone who is friendly, confident, enthusiastic, and a team player. A full valid UK driving license is required.
