We are looking for an applications engineer with experience of supporting energy sector or similar application portfolios. Experience of supporting a diverse portfolio of applications, primarily Hydrogrid or similar.
Location Scotland.
Requirements
1. Previous extensive experience as an applications analyst regularly troubleshooting and ensuring smooth running of the system
2. Experience of supporting energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL and necessary database interfaces
3. Experience working and liasing closely with vendors and has the ability to keep them on track
4. Analytical skills
5. Application interoperability, integrations, data flows, functionality overlap
6. Real-time data/Hydrogrid/understanding
7. Database knowledge
8. Automation/Scripting skills – python (desirable)
9. Reporting and presenting skills
10. Understating on allocation, system configuration and performance, production/lost production figures
11. Familiar with agile and devops
12. Fast learner and delivery focused
