Location
Yorkshire region – Customer Field Services department within the Wastewater Service Delivery Business Unit. The role is hybrid, with an expectation of time spent working from operational sites.
Work type
Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Participation in a standby rota is required.

Where you fit in
As Operational Delivery Manager you will oversee remote operational teams across a specific geographical area in Yorkshire. Your focus will be continuous improvement in customer service, delivering same‑day solutions for incidents, and managing planned repair and maintenance to eliminate future escapes.
The role covers Vactor and CCTV teams, requiring proactive cleansing and CCTV plans with a hybrid approach (internal and contractor performance).
Responsibilities
* Lead remote operational teams, managing day‑to‑day reactive workloads and delivering on challenging performance targets.
* Implement Health & Safety Management processes and procedures, including IOSH training.
* Embed and manage change initiatives in the field.
* Performance manage teams, using performance measures such as pollution and flooding indicators.
* Maintain expertise in Microsoft applications and other IT tools.
* Identify and resolve issues quickly to prevent impact on network stability or customer service.
* Work collaboratively internally and externally, focusing on collective goals.
* Maintain a full, valid UK driving licence with no more than six points.
* Participate in a standby rota.
Qualifications
* Strong customer focus and dynamic leadership skills.
* Proven success leading operational teams remotely in a busy environment.
* Experience in Health & Safety Management; IOSH qualification preferred.
* Experience embedding change initiatives in the field.
* Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft applications.
* High resilience and excellent written and communication skills.
* Good understanding of wastewater networks and resolution processes is ideal.
* Ability to work in a busy environment, managing reactive workloads.
