An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This allows a suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse Therapist across our East & West Core Teams.
This post seeks to enhance the current provision for children and young people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a well established, multi-disciplinary team with the aim of providing effective and timely community based assessments and high quality therapeutic nursing interventions.
You will be required to manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on an individual, family and group basis to children and young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holder will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings. Fife CAMHS is committed to the development of its staff group and actively encourages participation in the NES CAMHS development programme as well as bespoke training based on individual and service needs.
Applications are invited from individuals who are passionate about children’s mental health and are qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Evidence of continuous professional development is welcomed along with the ability to demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with significant experience in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health setting. Applicants will be able to respond to the needs of the service and the locality which will include the ability to travel across Fife and wider as required.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
