The role focuses primarily on RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) rather than traditional setting out. The project involves the refurbishment of 10 docks at a naval base, offering a challenging and prestigious environment for an engineer with strong quality, safety, and documentation experience.
Key Responsibilites:
* Develop, review, and implement Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
* Prepare, manage, and update Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in line with project requirements.
* Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
* Liaise with the project management team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure works are carried out in line with approved procedures.
* Monitor progress, report on quality and safety performance, and maintain accurate records.
* Support the project team in delivering works to time, budget, and specification.
* Ensure all documentation is compliant with contractual and regulatory standards.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or marine infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of RAMS, ITPs, and quality/safety management systems.
* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements on high-security or complex sites.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* SC (Security Clearance) or the ability to obtain clearance may be required due to the sensitive nature of the site.
