Job Description
The role of the National IT Specialist is to focus on IT operation stability and performance while adhering to IT industry best practices and providing excellent customer service.
The National IT Specialist will oversee assigned incidents, requests, problems, and deployments efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with all internal and external guidelines and regulations, particularly ALDI IT governance, while fostering a cooperative working environment.

Your New Role
1. Determine the priority of support cases based on business impact.
2. Create and coordinate project deployment plans.
3. Prioritize deployment tasks according to their impact on the project plan.
4. Advise international partners on patterns of recurring IT incidents and problems in GB/IE.
5. Test new IT hardware and software and collaborate with ALDI DX for integration into the GB/IE estate.
6. Work with key stakeholders to ensure smooth rollout of new applications or hardware.
7. Coordinate with external third parties to optimize application and hardware performance within the ALDI estate.
8. Provide second-level remote and onsite support via ServiceNow tickets.
9. Manage stock of IT hardware.
10. Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure business stability and optimal performance.
11. Test hardware and software updates before deployment.
12. Assist with hardware installation under the guidance of the central IT team.
13. Install VC equipment and meeting room IT equipment.
14. Manage ALDI’s VOIP telephony solutions across various locations.
15. Troubleshoot IT hardware issues.
16. Coordinate downtime for IT maintenance at designated locations.
17. Oversee upgrade rollouts and troubleshoot problems.
18. Take ownership of major incidents or ongoing problems, driving resolution and keeping management informed.
19. Ensure compliance with deadlines and SLAs.
20. Adhere to ALDI policies, legal obligations, and regulatory standards.
21. Process invoices related to IT responsibilities following company procedures.
22. Maintain assets, warranties, repairs, licenses, and other IT controls as required.
23. Follow the ALDI GB & IE code of conduct.
About You
1. Previous IT experience.
2. Experience using VOIP.
3. Experience with hardware/software deployment.
4. Experience delivering video conferencing solutions.
5. Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
7. Prior helpdesk experience.
8. Knowledge of IT hardware.

* Salary starting at £36,765, rising to £53,200.
* Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of remote work two days a week after passing a 3-month probation.
