CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator – 5-axis with CAD/CAM
Location: Camberley/Aldershot/Mytchett area
Salary: Competitive + 1.5x Overtime
Hours: 40 hours basic required Flexible start between 7:30am–7:30pm (Standard: 8:00am–4:30pm, Early finish Friday)
I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a high-end precision engineering company working primarily within motorsport and similar demanding sectors. They’re investing heavily in technology and are now looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.
This is a hands-on role involving full programming, setting and operating of a DMG Mori 5-axis machining centre, working on high-accuracy components using premium tooling and CAM software.
🔧 The Role
*
Full programming, setting and operating of a 5-axis DMG Mori CMX50U (Siemens control)
*
Using Autodesk PowerMILL 2023 to create programs for high-precision, multi-face milled components
*
Working with shrink-fit tooling, glass scales, Renishaw probing and through-spindle coolant setups
*
Machining complex parts from solid across one-offs and small batch runs
*
Occasional work on 3-axis/4th-axis machines when required
✅ Requirements
*
Strong background in programming 5-axis CNC milling machines (DMG Mori ideal, but not essential)
*
Experience using CAD/CAM software – PowerMILL is preferred, but cross-training will be provided
*
Confident with 3+2, positional or full simultaneous 5-axis machining
*
Able to read and work from complex technical drawings
*
Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a small, skilled team
