Join Channel 4’s Apprenticeship Programme as a Software Tester Apprentice. This full‑time role offers four days a week in the office and one day of formal learning, with a 60/40 split between office and remote work.

Eligibility
* You must be 18 years or older at the start of the scheme.
* Have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE.
* Must not have already completed the qualification being offered or a similar one.
* Applicants should be school leavers or people who do not have a degree.

Department Description
The Technology department provides systems and services across the business. As a Software Tester Apprentice you will test business and technical functionality, as well as non‑functional requirements such as performance where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with project teams to maintain functional and performance quality of applications.
* Develop a good knowledge of business processes and applications.
* Analyse business requirements to identify key test areas.
* Plan test approach for each project.
* Create and manage tests for integration, performance and security where relevant.
* Run tests and track results.
* Work with development teams to resolve issues.
* Report progress on all testing activities.
* Support UAT with business owners where required.
* Test within an Agile framework.
Essential Experience & Skills
* Verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
* Understanding of and passion for Channel 4’s remit.
* Confirmation of Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above.
* Good general IT knowledge.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to follow instructions, work independently and within a team.
* Willingness to learn and a keen attitude.

Salary
Basic salary per annum starting from £26,742.00
