Job Title: Assistant SENDCo and Provision Lead
Location: Acorn Park School, Norwich, NR16 2HU
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start: November 2025

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our team to support pupils with varied and complex needs at Acorn Park School in Norwich.
We are part of Outcomes First Group and are committed to wellbeing and inclusive education. We are running a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial; 4DWW is subject to probation and is not a contractual benefit.
About the Role
This role is instrumental in raising standards of achievement for pupils with varied and complex needs across all curriculum areas. Working closely with the SENDCo, you will take operational leadership of SEND provision within the education team. You will collaborate with teaching staff, senior leaders, and the Clinical Lead to provide expert support and advice—ensuring students’ individual needs are met and barriers to learning are overcome. You will also be responsible for leading EHCP annual reviews, supporting individual students and small groups, and contributing to the delivery of targeted provision.

Key Responsibilities
* Act as operational lead for SEND provision within the education team
* Support inclusion across the school in collaboration with the SENDCo and other key staff
* Lead and manage EHCP annual reviews
* Deliver and support targeted interventions for students
* Provide specialist support and guidance to staff to meet individual pupil needs
* Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support learners
Requirements
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
* Degree or equivalent
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience delivering or supporting provision such as Lego Therapy, Precision Teaching, or Emotional Literacy
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, families, and external professionals
About Us
Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, with a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex Needs pupils are on the Semi-formal Pathway and are highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mix of Day and Residential pupils on our 30-acre site in rural Norfolk, with on-site Forest School and Animal Care Farm, as well as play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms. Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism and learning difficulties for over 16 years.
