We have an opportunity for a Specification Sales Engineer - BMS (Demand Generation) to join our Building Management Systems (BMS) sales team at Honeywell. You will be part of an established team that aims to help our customers automate their buildings, reduce their carbon footprint, and provide optimal environments for occupants by developing solutions from across the Honeywell Portfolio.
You will work with advanced control technologies and engineers, shaping the industry and developing opportunities for our partner channel. This is a remote role (within commuting distance to Manchester / Liverpool) with around 50% travel to customer sites, consultants, and Honeywell offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and convert potential new end-user customers, consultants, and contractors to Honeywell Partner Channel products and services, focusing on business development and increasing market share through New Product Introduction activities.
* Research and cultivate new markets and applications, developing relationships with key stakeholders to drive growth.
* Promote Honeywell BMS products and services at industry events, organize workshops, webinars, and training sessions.
* Contribute to BMS strategy through research and business development, collaborating with account managers and solution architects, and supporting marketing efforts.
* Support internal and external customers by clearly communicating solutions and challenging their thinking to facilitate sales.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Strong sales experience in Smart Building Technology or BMS, with a proven track record in developing business with key stakeholders.
* Commercial and technical knowledge of BMS control systems, HVAC controls market, applications, and competitors.
* Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and communication skills. Highly motivated and self-reliant, with a valid driver’s license.
* Experience in preparing BMS designs, specifications, and documentation, focusing on energy, sustainability, and IoT solutions.
* Solution selling expertise, capable of highlighting features, benefits, and values of well-designed BMS solutions.
