This is a hands‑on, collaborative role where you’ll help design, deploy, and optimise cloud solutions that transform how schools operate - moving them from legacy systems to modern, scalable platforms.
The Role
Working closely with our Cloud Solutions Architect and alongside another Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering secure, high‑performing cloud environments for our customers.
From migrations to optimisation, you’ll contribute to projects that improve accessibility, resilience, and efficiency across school IT - ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.
This role is based at our HQ in Walton‑on‑Thames, reflecting the collaborative, in‑person nature of the team and customer engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure (Azure and Google Cloud)
* Assisting with cloud migration projects from on‑premise to modern cloud environments
* Monitoring system performance, availability, and usage to ensure reliability and efficiency
* Troubleshooting cloud‑related issues including connectivity, performance, and configuration challenges
* Contributing to automation and scripting to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
* Supporting backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless integration with school systems
* Assisting with documentation, reporting, and client communication
* Participating in customer discussions, translating technical concepts into clear, practical guidance
What We’re Looking For
* A strong foundation in cloud technologies and a desire to build deeper expertise
* Experience (or exposure) to Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud environments
* A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and share knowledge
* Problem‑solving skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
* Strong communication skills, especially when working with non‑technical users
* An interest in education and making a meaningful impact in schools
Certifications
Expected (or working towards): AZ-900, SC-900, MS-900, Acronis Cloud Tech Fundamentals
Development pathway: AZ-104, MS-102, ChromeOS Administrator, Chrome Enterprise Administrator
