Accounts Administrator - Civil Engineering

Our client, a medium-sized, privately owned civil engineering company based in Pontypool, is looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their friendly and professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business in a varied and hands-on finance role.
Responsibilities
* Recording, processing and matching purchase invoices.
* Reconciling supplier statements and assisting with regular account reconciliations.
* Preparing payment schedules, forecasts and processing payment runs.
* Handling supplier queries and maintaining good supplier relationships.
* Sending out tender documents and supporting the tendering process.
* Supporting weekly and monthly payroll processes for both direct and subcontract staff.
* Assisting with general accounts administration and office support duties as required.
About you
* Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts administration role.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero (essential).
* A good understanding of accounts payable and basic bookkeeping.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
