Our principal role is to administer the pensions for employees in the National Health Service, Teachers,’ Police and Fire-fighters’ pension schemes in Scotland. The Agency administers these public service pension schemes on behalf of Scottish Ministers with an annual pension spend to over 200,000 pensioners of more than £2.5 billion. SPPA People Development Team is looking for a PD Advisor, who will play a crucial role in helping individuals and teams to enhance their skills, knowledge and capability that will support our business priorities and Strategic Aims. As a PD Advisor, you will support the PD Consultants and the PD Manager to deliver against the Agency workforce plan. You will also be expected to actively contribute to the delivery of the SPPA’s Corporate Strategy and Plan, through co-operation and communication with the wider Agency Management team. You will be expected to lead by example in the development of colleague behaviours that result in organisational and culture change whilst acting as a positive role model. This role currently has no line management responsibilities, however this may change going forward. Responsibilities Support PD Consultants in the day-to-day management of learning journeys that support our learning programmes, including advising managers and coaching and developing programme members. Support the PD Consultants to design, deliver and procure blended learning solutions for example, digital, face to face, collaborative learning, coaching, action learning sets etc. Monitor and evaluate learning activities to measure quality and effectiveness of the learning experience. Using digital tools to create and deliver flexible and innovative learning courses. Building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Collaborating with colleagues to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Provide procurement support and/or escalation point for these as required. Responsibilities Qualifications Candidates should have an Associate Membership of CIPD or be willing to work towards this. Technical / Professional Skills: Subject knowledge within Talent and/or Capability (learning) - Developing knowledge on the principles that underpin the design, management and evaluation of face-to-face and digital learning/talent management initiatives. You are aware of current learning/talent trends and external best practices. You know how to promote diversity within talent pools and ensure learning products are inclusive.
