What will I be doing? As a Groups, Conference and Events \(GCE\) Sales Manager, you will lead the Groups, Conference and Events Sales function alongside the on-property Reservations team, converting enquiries into confirmed business while driving sustained revenue growth and long-term client relationships\. In this senior commercial role, you will engage closely with clients and guests to understand their needs, curate tailored solutions, and position the hotel as the preferred destination for meetings and events\. Your responsibilities will include performing the following to the highest professional standards: ·Maximise all Groups, Conference, and Events revenue opportunities through strategic prospecting, negotiation, and conversion ·Review business plans regularly, identifying gaps and implementing proactive strategies to optimise capacity and achieve revenue targets ·Contribute to the hotel's overall commercial and selling strategy, ensuring departmental alignment and disciplined execution ·Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive marketplace, implementing initiatives to strengthen the hotel's market position ·Conduct structured weekly quality audits of confirmed bookings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a minimum 90% audit achievement across systems and processes ·Develop the GCE Sales team to consistently demonstrate excellence in relationship management, service delivery, selling techniques, and contracting accuracy ·Lead, mentor, and succession-plan the GCE Sales team, supporting career progression and long-term talent development within the hotel and wider organisation ·Plan and coordinate hotel promotional and commercial initiatives to enhance visibility and drive qualified demand What are we looking for?
