Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full management of project costs across modular and civils projects — from tender through to final accounts — working closely with Project Managers to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead cost planning, estimating, and forecasting for projects
* Prepare, negotiate, and analyse contracts, claims, and tenders
* Manage budgets, financial reports, and cost control measures
* Oversee subcontractor payments and settlements
* Provide commercial advice and support to Project Managers and Directors
* Conduct risk and value management
* Finalise cost/value accounts and settlements
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ QS experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
* Strong negotiation and financial management skills
* Excellent knowledge of NEC, JCT, and other construction contracts
* Proficiency in cost management software
* Strong leadership, client-facing, and communication abilities
* Full driver’s licence (travel required across UK & Ireland)
