Our busy Conveyancing Department handles a wide range of residential property transactions, and we are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. The role will be based at our Barnsley office.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting fee earners with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions, from instruction to completion
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to ensure a smooth process
* Drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
* Conducting searches and reviewing title documents
* Managing files and keeping accurate records on the case management system
Key Skills
* 6 months experience in a law firm or similar legal environment is essential
* Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience of working to deadlines and able to prioritise your own workload efficiently
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and client-focused approach
* IT literate with proficiency in Outlook and Word
Full or part time hours will be considered for suitable candidates. Salary will be dependent on experience.
