Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing the Telent Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet business waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role, with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What you’ll do:
* Provide specialist guidance and advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Support risk management by defining an environmental assurance regime, including risk-based audits, ensuring effective audit and assurance practices through inspections and audits.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Support the development and maintenance of performance data and carbon management reports for customer and contract requirements.
* Ensure regular reviews of key Business Unit environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
* Help the Bid, Design, and Operational Teams embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout the Project Life Cycle.
Who you are:
You will have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within relevant industries (Rail / Telecoms / Utilities / Construction).
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
* Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice for business operations
* Proven ability to reduce environmental impacts through product lifecycle management
* Experience managing complex technical and change projects
* Full driving license and flexibility for UK-wide travel
