Job Description:
Product Data Analyst
Salary: From £39,600+ (dependant on experience and location)
Location status: Hybrid
Location: Angel Court, London and Bupa Place, Manchester
Role Type: Permanent
Shift pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
We make health happen
At Bupa, we’re here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives. As healthcare needs grow and change, we’re finding new ways to make care easier to access, more personalised and more connected.
Our digital products, including the My Bupa app and Blua health services, are transforming how people manage their health. From booking GP appointments to accessing wellbeing support, we’re creating tools that put people in control.
As a Product Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in this. You’ll turn data into clear insights that help improve how our digital services work. Your work will help teams understand what’s working, what’s not, and where we can do better — so we can offer a smoother, more helpful experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse and interpret data to understand how people use our digital healthcare products
2. Explore user journeys to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement
3. Break down performance issues (for example, changes in bookings or usage) to find the root cause
4. Work across different data sources to build a full picture of user behaviour
5. Track and report on key performance measures that support service delivery
6. Create clear dashboards and visualisations to help teams understand data quickly
7. Work closely with Product Managers, engineers and other analysts to improve digital journeys
8. Support testing and experimentation (such as A/B testing) to measure what works best
9. Share insights and recommendations in a clear, practical way to support decision-making
10. Help build a strong data-driven culture by encouraging curiosity and asking the right questions
11. Maintain good practices for how data is collected, stored and used
What We’re Looking For
12. Experience in a data or product analytics role (typically 1–3 years)
13. Strong skills in SQL for querying and working with data
14. Experience using analytics and visualisation tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Amplitude or Adobe)
15. Confidence working with large datasets and combining information from different sources
16. A curious mindset — someone who asks questions, not just reports numbers
17. Ability to understand user journeys and spot where improvements can be made
18. Good communication skills, with the ability to explain data clearly to different audiences
19. Experience working with tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps is helpful
Nice to have:
20. Knowledge of statistical or modelling techniques
21. Experience with tag management tools (such as Tealium)
