Position SummaryJob Title:ControllerLocation:Cornwall, Ontario (Onsite)Position SummaryWe are a manufacturingpany looking for a Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of our organization. Based onsite at our Cornwall, Ontario facility and reporting directly to the VP Finance, the Controller will lead the accounting team, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and support decision-making through timely analysis and insight. This role is hands-on and requires someone who can balance leadership with operational execution in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily accounting operations—GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets—while leading timely, accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes.
2. Ensure strong internal controls, policies, and regulatorypliance, and maintain high‑quality financial reporting under GAAP/ASPE/IFRS.
3. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning in partnership with the VP Finance and operational teams.
4. Provide financial and cost analysis, including inventory, variance, and margin insights, to support performance and strategic decisions.
5. Manage external audits and taxpliance, drive process and system improvements, and mentor and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications
6. CPA Designation.
7. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
8. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
9. Strong knowledge of GAAP/ASPE/IFRS and internal control practices.
10. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
11. Experience within the manufacturing industry (cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance exposure) (preferred).
12. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (preferred).
