Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to oversee the successful delivery of a critical project starting in ASAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or technical project management, with proven experience in planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement. This role will require a meticulous approach to governance, risk management, and adherence to health and safety protocols.\n\nThis Role will require travel between two site one in Warwick and one in Nottingham\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProject Planning and Management:\n\nDefine the scope of work and key deliverables.\n\nDevelop pre-construction plans and coordinate design activities.\n\nRisk and Opportunity Management:\n\nMaintain and update a comprehensive risk and opportunity register.\n\nAddress technical queries and develop solutions in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor (QS).\n\nGovernance and Compliance:\n\nEnsure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.\n\nConduct QSHE inspections, reporting near misses, hazardous observations, and safe practices.\n\nStakeholder Management:\n\nLiaise with customers, clients, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.\n\nProduce weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.\n\nChair meetings, including pre-start and progress reviews.\n\nSupply Chain and Team Collaboration:\n\nAssist in supply chain selection and ensure effective collaboration with all parties.\n\nMonitor progress, provide updates, and address project challenges proactively.\n\nDocumentation and Reporting:\n\nOversee document management and ensure timely collection of data for Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Health & Safety files.\n\nMaintain accurate records and share lessons learned post-project.\n\nKey Skills and Experience\n\nProven track record in project management within construction, facilities, or technical services.\n\nStrong knowledge of pre-construction planning, design coordination, and programme development.\n\nExperience with risk management and governance frameworks.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nProficiency in relevant project management software and tools.\n\nKnowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.\n\nQualifications\n\nDegree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).\n\nProfessional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or APM (desirable).\n\nCSCS cardholder\n\nCall Jack for more details (phone number removed)\n\nSetsquare is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.\n\nSetsquare is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
