Anexciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experiencedphysiotherapist to join our MD Respiratory Care Team in theNorth Surrey Locality.
TheRCT offers Pulmonary Rehabilitation throughout the whole ofNW Surrey within the community setting and in patients homes. The Band 6 RespiratoryPhysiotherapist supports the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lead within the localityarea to plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate a high quality, evidence basedPulmonary Rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy service for respiratorypatients in North West Surrey CCG. Currently the team are working towards NACAP Pulmonary RehabilitationNational Accreditation as well as piloting the use of virtual reality headsetsfor home-based exercise delivery. ThePhysiotherapists are an integral part of the multidisciplinary Respiratory CareTeam whose role is to support individuals with chronic respiratory conditionsoffering, as well as Pulmonary Rehabilitation, a wide range of servicesincluding an admission avoidance and post discharge service, community clinics,home visits, Ambulatory oxygen, and a Home NIV service.
To succeed in this post you will need experience of managing patients with chronic respiratory disease. The successful candidate must have good communication and organisational skills with a flexible approach to meet the ever-changing needs of the service. You will have experience of working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.

Golden Hello eligible! A Golden Hello payment of £2000 (£1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of a six month probation period) will be made, provided that the eligibility terms are met.

Job responsibilities
1. The Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapistsupports the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lead within the locality area to plan,co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate a high quality, evidence based Pulmonary Rehabilitationand respiratory physiotherapy service for respiratory patients in North WestSurrey CCG.
2. Tohave responsibility for providing pulmonary rehabilitation sessions, both faceto face and virtually for patients with respiratory conditions across NWS CCG.
3. Tocontribute to the overall planning, strategic development, and evaluation of thePulmonary Rehabilitation Service in conjunction with other clinical staff.
4. Toundertake comprehensive physiotherapeutic assessments and to plan and executetreatment of patients with chronic respiratory problems in outpatient, clinicand community settings. These patients may have complex needs, both physicaland emotional, including co-morbidities and may be at any stage of the diseaseprocess, including end stage.
5. Totake an active role in the supervision and teaching of junior physiotherapists,nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team across the Trust.
6. Tobe responsible as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a specialist clinicalcaseload, to include both group and individual assessment, rehabilitation, andtreatment.
7. To work with and be anactive member of the Respiratory Care Team to support as needed communityclinics, home visits, Ambulatory Oxygen prescription, admission avoidance andpost discharge work.
8. Toparticipate actively in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of caredelivered and make recommendations for changes.
9. Toundertake evidence-based projects, including recommendations for change inpractice and to lead where appropriate in departmental evaluation/research.

1. Diploma/degree leading to inclusion on the Health Professional Council Physiotherapy Register
2. Evidence of continued professional development, with courses relevant to respiratory care
