A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in West Hull is seeking a Level 4 (or above) HLTA to join their team full-time from September 2025. This is a fixed-term opportunity for the full academic year, ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic settings and want to make a genuine impact.
About the Role:
As HLTA, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity and consistency across classrooms. You will:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and lead whole-class activities in the absence of the class teacher.
* Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Support teaching and learning across various year groups when not covering whole classes.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and senior leaders to ensure learning objectives are met.
* Support the progress and wellbeing of all pupils, adapting flexibly to different age groups and learning needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* HLTA Status (Level 4 or above), or be a qualified ECT seeking additional experience before a full teaching role.
* Experience leading groups or covering whole classes in a primary school setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, confident presence in the classroom.
* A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to education.
* The ability to work effectively across different key stages, supporting children of varying needs and abilities.
* A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
