We have a fantastic opportunities to join our team! The role is 30 hours per week, working across four days (08:30 – 16:30), term-time only. Travel between schools and other community settings is required, so access to a suitable vehicle is essential.

About the Role
As a Screening Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering National Healthy Child programmes within local schools, focusing on growth monitoring and vision screenings.
Working both independently and as part of a team, you will provide advice and support to children and families, ensuring they can access the care and guidance they need. The role includes engaging with schools and community settings, facilitating group discussions, and supporting health education initiatives.
You will be required to travel across the region to visit schools and other community spaces, making access to a suitable vehicle essential. Your work will follow established policies and protocols to ensure screenings are carried out safely and effectively.
About You
You have experience working with children and families, either in educational or community settings, and understand the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles. You are confident in delivering health advice and engaging with young people, both in one-to-one interactions and group settings. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with professionals across different agencies are key to success in this role.
Your enthusiasm for public health means you are eager to contribute to national initiatives that support children's wellbeing. Training will be provided, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
