Apprentice Drainage Technician – Hillington
Overview
Apprentice Drainage Technician based at Ipsum Hillington, King's Lynn, England, United Kingdom. This is a full-time permanent role based from our Hillington office with classroom study. As a CCTV Drainage Technician Apprentice, you will support experienced engineers in conducting CCTV surveys of drainage systems across commercial, residential, industrial, rail, and utilities sectors, learning to assess pipe conditions, operate inspection equipment, and assist in producing high-quality reports. You will follow guidance from on-site Engineers and your Project Manager while developing your ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently as you progress through the apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
* Learn and adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures.
* Assist in CCTV surveys of drainage systems and operate inspection equipment; help produce high-quality reports.
* Support Engineers in resolving problems and reporting site-related incidents.
* Contribute to on-site tasks including CCTV inspections and jetting operations.
* Develop strong communication skills and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Remain flexible and available for early starts, weekend work, and out-of-hours shifts across the UK.
About You
* Motivated, reliable, and eager to develop skills; interest in drainage, utilities, or the construction industry is highly valued; strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* A basic understanding of Health and Safety; experience in a customer-facing role; familiarity with Microsoft Office (desirable).
* Most importantly, a proactive approach, willingness to take initiative, and genuine enthusiasm for learning.
