Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Service Engineer to install, commission, service, and fault‑find a range of water purification equipment at various customer locations throughout the UK. This is a full‑time role requiring significant independent travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, service, and perform fault diagnosis on various water purification systems (including Reverse Osmosis, De‑ionisers, Water Softeners, Filters, and UV Filtration) to meet customer specifications.
* Work on associated components such as raw and pure water tank systems, inlet pipe systems, ring mains (ABS or PVC), pumps, and various valve types (e.g., Fleck, Siata, Gemu).
* Conduct fault finding and commissioning of control panels and wiring systems.
* Complete detailed engineer reports using designated software, accurately logging all parts used, job details, taking system pictures, and obtaining client signatures.
* Engage professionally and technically with clients at all levels to manage expectations and provide clear communication.
* Adhere strictly to Health & Safety Regulations and COSHH regulations (including chemical handling and system sterilisations) and assist in maintaining the Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Responsible for company vehicle and stock, including performing daily and monthly vehicle checks.
Essential Requirements
* Driving: Must possess a full & valid Category B/B1 or higher driving licence (preferably clean) and be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
* Experience: Proven experience in a field service role, including mechanical and electrical fault finding, assembly, installation, and commissioning of complex systems.
* Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical regulations.

* Strong analytical and logical problem‑solving abilities to assess suitable, cost‑efficient solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
* Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and a strong team player when required.
* Strong attention to detail, ability to work accurately under pressure, and strong decision‑making skills.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including grade A*-C in English, Maths & Science.
* City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical subjects.
Training / Certificates (A Plus)
* CSCS/JIB UK-PMES Card (or valid Health and Safety Exam Pass).
* Training/Experience in specific Water Purification methods.
* Certificates in Manual Handling, Working at Height, Electrical Isolation, or Risk Assessment.
