Role Overview
Fixed term secondment opportunity for up to 12 months covering maternity leave. Total hours: 25.5 per week divided into 18.75 hours as deputy manager and 6.75 hours clinical role.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Physiotherapy teams under the Superintendent service, ensuring high‑quality local services.
* Assist the Physiotherapy Manager in taking responsibility for the department, including staff, resources, and financial management.
* Produce clinical governance reports and recommendations for service development.
* Provide professional leadership, set high personal standards, and support staff development.
* Conduct advanced specialist assessment and treatment for patients with complex conditions (clinical role).
* Engage staff within and outside the Trust to facilitate change and collaboration.
Qualifications
* Highly experienced Physiotherapist with knowledge of working in an acute NHS trust.
* Experience in recruitment and service transformation.
* Ability to develop staff and service, and to work within an agreed financial framework.
* Strong understanding of physiotherapy practice and commitment to continued professional development.
