Why us?
Media Borne is building the North East's first Virtual Production Hub, combining real-time Unreal Engine environments with multi-camera green screen workflows. Alongside technical innovation, our mission is to support local talent to develop original IP for digital-first platforms like YouTube and streaming services.
We're looking for a Development Producer to scout, nurture, and develop new creative projects. You'll work directly with writers, directors, and emerging creatives to turn initial ideas into viable formats, series bibles, and pilots that can succeed in today's fast-paced content landscape.
This role is perfect for someone with strong editorial instincts, proven development experience, and a passion for bringing regional voices to screen.
About us
Founded in 2018, Media Borne is a Newcastle-based team with a track record in digital-first production, live-streaming, and immersive formats. With our Virtual Production Hub, we're scaling into original content creation, talent development, and regional capacity building.
Our three creative pillars are Entertain, Educate, and Inspire, and we're looking for someone who can shape compelling new formats that reflect these values while being commercially viable for digital and broadcast markets.

* Talent Scouting: Build relationships with writers, directors, and producers across the North East, connecting them with the Hub.
* Format Development: Create pitch decks, series bibles, and programme treatments for both internal IP and external commissioning.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager and technical team to ensure ideas are deliverable within the VP Hub.
* Market Awareness: Track commissioning trends across TV, streaming, and digital-first platforms to inform development strategy.
* Client Engagement: Present ideas to commissioners, brands, and partners; lead on pitching sessions and development workshops.
* Documentation: Maintain development slates and track project progress from concept to pilot stage.
* Reporting: Support grant reporting and case study requirements by evidencing talent development and IP outputs.
