Real Chemistry is looking for a Group Director with experience in the patient advocacy and healthcare policy space to join our growing team!
Real Chemistry is currently seeking a Group Director with solid client services experience in unbranded campaigns and disease awareness campaigns, who can lead client strategy engagements and oversee project execution across different communication platforms as well as drive new business opportunities. The position offers a great opportunity for an individual with a passion for life sciences to work with leading clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, and health IT fields.
What you’ll do:
* Manage multiple client engagements of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional client relationship skills
* Oversee the distribution of client announcements via the appropriate regulatory channels and follow up with media in a timely manner
* Develop clients’ advocacy and policy strategies and tactics
* Lead operational efforts and be accountable for the financial performance of engagements through close management of budgets and team members
* Ensure the quality of the account team(s) is held to the highest standard and that all client requests are handled in a strategic and timely manner
* Partner with shared service leads to run and grow integrated business (social media/digital, creative), and to develop new business opportunities
* Directly supervise account staff and promote continuous learning and development to help build a high performing culture

What you should have:
* Experience working with clients within the life sciences industry, and specifically on projects aligned to patient advocacy
* Ability to work within and lead cross-functional teams internally (confidently liaise with and guide tech, creative and account teams) in order to deliver outstanding client work
* Ability to support and drive new business operations alone and as part of bigger team
* Ability to relay high science to audiences with different levels of knowledge
* Knowledge of annual planning, resourcing and forecasting
* Ability to manage and inspire an account team
* Supervisory skills, with ability to manage and cultivate junior staff and effectively collaborate with subcontractors
* Demonstrated experience developing direct reports and influence-managing matrixed teams a must
* Exceptional organizational skills leading to flawless execution of tactical plans is required
