Apublicly listed, international group operating within a highly regulated commercial sector is seeking a Corporate Taxpliance and Reporting Assistant Manager to join its growing in-house tax function. Your new role
This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified tax professional or first-time mover from practice or industry who is looking to take the next step in their career within an in-house environment. As Corporate Taxpliance & Reporting Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting group-wide corporate taxpliance, reporting andernance obligations across the UK and selected overseas jurisdictions. Working closely with the Tax and wider finance team, you’ll be involved in both routinepliance cycles and ad hoc technical projects, gaining exposure to a broad range of corporate tax matters within a complex, multi-entity structure.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting quarterly and year-end corporate tax provisioning
2. Preparing and reviewing tax reconciliations, disclosures and supporting schedules
3. Assisting with UK corporation taxputations, returns and payment calculations
4. Managing UK quarterly instalment payments and tracking tax cash flows
5. Supporting overseas tax filings by liaising with local finance teams and external advisors
6. Monitoring changes in UK and international tax legislation and assessing impact
7. Supporting internal tax controls, risk management and documentation processes
8. Assisting with tax-related projects, restructurings and business queries as required
This role offers strong visibility across the finance function and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Assistant Manager role, you will ideally bring:
9. A professional tax or accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent), or be nearingpletion
10. Solid experience in corporate taxpliance and/or tax reporting, gained in practice or industry
11. A good technical understanding of UK corporation tax and tax accounting principles
12. Strong Excel skills and confidence handling detailed numerical data
13. The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured and proactive manner
14. Strongmunication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Experience within a multinational, regulated orplex group environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
