Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > SERV OFS – Electrical Operations

Part of Operations Development, Electrical Operations NCE is an agile department working closely with all operational stakeholders. The team is primarily responsible for maintaining WTSR standards and enforcing Safe System of Work practices within the offshore NCE region to prioritize personnel safety.


Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Following, understanding, advising, and implementing local procedures on Control of Hazardous Energy / Electrical Safety standards.
2. Liaising with Platform Management and relevant stakeholders on technical, process, and legislative issues, ensuring timescales are met.
3. Supporting the implementation of new procedures and ensuring all personnel are properly trained and inducted in their use as defined by their roles.
4. Delivering initial and refresher operational training to ensure personnel understand and maintain high standards in the implementation of WTSR.
5. Working within various subgroups (RUK/CoHE), raising important issues, and acting accordingly.
6. Supporting all documentation and record-keeping related to the Control of Hazardous Energy / Electrical Safety program.
7. Providing technical support to Site Management, Supervisors, and technicians on mechanical and electrical safety and operational issues.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

1. An electrical or mechanical education, such as HNC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 4, C&G full technological certificate/diploma, or relevant experience in electrical engineering.
2. Knowledge of EN 50110-1 Operation of Electrical Installations, EAWR, and other applicable European standards.
3. Previous wind industry technical and operational experience working with Vestas Wind Turbines is desirable.
4. At least three years of practical experience with electrical safety.
5. Good knowledge of WTSR, HV Safety Rules, and similar Safe Systems of Work, procedures, and documentation.
6. Experience as an Authorized Technician (WTSR) or Authorizing Engineer.
7. Experience with Authorization Panels.

Additional Information

Your work location will be in Warrington, GB. The role involves 30-50 travel days per year.
