Responsibilities
* Build and improve the backend for various public API, user-facing, and background features, ensuring high standards for quality, security, and performance.
* Monitor and maintain the health, reliability, and scalability of services, databases, and infrastructure.
* Respond to operational incidents, perform root cause analysis, and communicate with users.
* Manage cloud resources, databases, and infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC).
* Take ownership of projects, shape their direction, and communicate progress effectively.
* Optimize performance through profiling and tracing.
* Address issues from the issue tracker based on severity and priority.
* Continuously learn and expand domain and technological knowledge.
* Redefine supply chain operations processes to build an opinionated product.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in backend software engineering.
* Proven product-building mindset, initiative, and ownership of projects.
* Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and high-quality standards.
* Strong communication skills for complex technical and organizational problems.
* Experience with analytics, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
* Performance optimization skills through profiling and tracing.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.
* Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS and/or Rust, REST/GraphQL APIs, MongoDB/PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
* Ability to onboard and integrate with organizations long-term.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-haves
* Experience with our tech stack and tools.
* Knowledge of SRE practices, cloud infrastructure management, and automation.
* Experience with enterprise systems like ERPs, WMS, POS, TMS, OMS, CRM, and payment platforms.
* Experience in SaaS companies, especially enterprise software.
* Experience working remotely or in hybrid environments.
