Overview
Administration Officer required for the Neighbourhood Rehabilitation Service (NRS) at Kendray Hospital, Barnsley. The service encompasses the Intermediate Care team and Long-Term Condition Pathway. Supports rehabilitation of patients at home and in residential care, with aim to enable earlier hospital discharge or prevent admission. 37.5 hours per week.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Support Workers. You will need good organisation, the ability to work autonomously, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure with service users and health care professionals.

Main duties
* Be computer literate in Microsoft Office.
* Have a high level of written and verbal communication skills.

* Maintain and record accurate details; demonstrate good organisational skills.
* Provide administrative support with key duties including:
* Working within Electronic Patient Records (e.g. SystmOne).
* Producing documents using Microsoft Office.
* Dealing with telephone calls, messages and service referrals.
* Arranging meetings, appointments and letters.
* Ordering items via the procurement system.

Qualifications
* Essential: NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or demonstrate competency at level 3; RSA III acceptable.
* Desirable: Willingness to undertake further study/development.
Experience
* Essential: Recent secretarial/administrative experience; copy/audio typing; minute taking; use of email, diaries, meetings; MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to work with minimum supervision; maintain confidentiality; use initiative; prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
* Desirable: Experience in a caring environment; dealing with the public.
Physical Attributes
* Essential: Satisfactory sickness record for previous 2 years; able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements (with reasonable adjustments).
