Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities for 12 hours to suit your schedule.
Availability Window
Sunday 07:30–23:30; Saturday 07:30–23:30.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
- Keep the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as you see it.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van as required and check it for roadworthiness.
- Discuss any changes to orders with customers and offer refunds where appropriate.
- Take care of products/deliveries as if they are your own.
- Explain to customers that they will not be charged for substitutions.
- Deliver during the customer's scheduled time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving at their property if you are early.
- Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
- Be warm and welcoming in interactions, taking time to understand the customer and say Thank you.
- Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change.
- Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work for balance.
- Share ideas with Manager and colleagues to improve store performance.
Qualifications
- A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
