A secondary school in the South of Manchester is looking to recruit an SEN teaching assistant. This is a requirement for the Autumn term with the successful SEN specialist starting in September. The successful SEN teaching assistant will be assisting within the classroom, working with students that require support on an academic level or with those students who are of lower ability than their peers. Reporting to the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), the successful SEN TA will be working within a team of support staff with their own timetable to work through and a list of students who have been identified as requiring specific support. As a successful and confident SEN TA, you should have relevant experience in supporting either in a secondary school setting or with students in an educational environment. Any experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis who might have moderate learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, dyslexia or social emotional behaviour support will be highly desirable.
